The Zentralkapelle Berlin invites you to the traditional summer concert on May 2 in the Großer Sendesaal of rbb:

The soloist is the exquisite trumpeter Balázs Drahos.

And in two world premieres, we will first be looking at Sohui Jeong's musical memory for "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance", which was found in a two-month process. And in "Engel: [404]" by Sean Schumann, we will then venture into air sounds and irrational rhythms, among other things, and the brass players' seats will be surrounded by a crowd of steamers.

The program also includes compositions by Chick Corea, John Mackey and Franz von Suppè, among others.

First we were friends - since 2002 also an orchestra. An ostinato annual rhythm gives us orientation and stability: at the "Traditional Summer Concert" we play symphonic wind music in front of large audiences, for several years in the Berlin Philharmonie, most recently also in the Großer Sendesaal of rbb. When we take to the stage, we do so with the largest possible line-up, sometimes on crazy instruments and with breathtaking soloists. Usually in front of a sold-out audience.
