Some are classical singers, others are singer-songwriters or play jazz. SONGS & ARIEN combines music and conversation to create an evening unlike any other: Aria meets song, jazz meets art song. Musical worlds meet at ear level. Live, playful and in dialog with the director, singer and author Torsten Krug. In our Special Edition, TV presenter and singer-songwriter Marco Lombardo meets award-winning soprano Annika Boos. The bar is open. We are listening.
Marco Lombardo is a journalist, (TV) presenter (e.g. on WDR television), breathing and consciousness trainer, men's coach, sing leader for healing singing - and singer-songwriter. He has already played a number of concerts with his own songs, particularly in the Bergisches Land region. With his guitar and his voice, he presents self-written songs that deal with many topics in life. Often very personal, with depth - but also light-hearted and full of joie de vivre. And the audience is always an important part of his program. Singing along, whistling along or humming along - everything is welcome.
Annika Boos is an award-winning soprano. She completed her vocal studies at the Cologne University of Music and Dance with distinction. From 2012 to 2014 she was a permanent member of the Wuppertaler Bühnen ensemble, since then she has worked as a freelance singer.
Her artistic career has taken her to numerous renowned stages, including the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, the Staatstheater Nürnberg and the Concertgebouw Amsterdam. Her successful roles include Sophie in "Der Rosenkavalier" and Adele in "Die Fledermaus".
In addition to her stage work, Annika Boos has also made a name for herself as a recording artist, for example with the highly acclaimed first recording of Philipp Christoph Kayser's "Scherz, List und Rache". A particular focus of her work is lieder singing and contemporary music, for the interpretation of which she has received several awards.
She is also a committed music teacher and always sees art as a form of mediation and connecting dialog. In addition to the classical repertoire, she also devotes herself to musicals, pop and jazz and is a songwriter with her own compositions.
