Sunday matinee: Piazzolla in Paris

with Donna Lee (vocals) and Kaine Haywrad (piano)

Experience Astor Piazzolla's musical journey to Paris in the 1950s! Inspired by his teacher Nadia Boulanger, he found his unmistakable Tango Nuevo there - an exciting combination of traditional tango, classical composition and influences from the French music scene. This concert program combines chansons, art songs and Piazzolla's revolutionary tangos to create an impressive panorama that fuses tradition and modernity in a unique way.

The Sunday matinee is a concert series at Nou Mitte. We want to use our beautiful rooms to provide a forum for (tango) music and to put the music in the spotlight. These events are concerts, so everyone can come - non-dancers as well as dancers - to listen to the wonderful sounds of the music.

Admission is free.
Donations to support tango culture are very welcome. The event is organized by the Nou Community Berlin in cooperation with the Nou Mitte.
