Europe Blues Train Festival meets Brunnenviertel e.V.

Brunnenviertel e.V. is celebrating its 25th anniversary and the Europe Blues Train is bringing the music. On board is the Sophie Trost Combo - with its authentic mix of songwriting, world, jazz and, in keeping with the occasion, a spark of blues.

In her songs, Sophie Trost processes what moves her, be it personal experiences or socio-political events. The music of the Sophie Trost Combo is light and serious at the same time, danceable and leaves room for improvisation. The members of the combo enrich Sophie's songs with influences from jazz, bossa nova, reggae, Latin American rhythms, pop, chanson and much more. With sincere vocals and warm clarinet sounds, Sophie creates soulful, catchy melodies. Matija's virtuoso guitar playing provides enriching surprises. Underneath is the soft groove of Phil's bass, which percussionist Luis rounds off with diverse and subtle rhythms.
