Berlin gets a comedy highlight of a special kind: Stefan Danziger, the storyteller among stand-up comedians, presents three of his successful programs on two evenings in his Berlin BKA Theater - a unique concept between stand-up, history and personal anecdote.

Under the title "Was machen Sie... halt so ... Wege - 3 Programme, 2 Abendde", Danziger shows his entire range: trenchant observations, historical absurdities and autobiographical insights - intelligent, charming and wonderfully quirky.

The program starts with "What do you actually do during the day?". In it, the GDR-born refugee, who ended up in the Soviet Union via detours and later found his comedy voice in Berlin Wedding, talks about cultural contradictions, history and the stories behind it - humorously and with an international perspective, trained on stages from Berlin to Edinburgh.

With "Ways and Means", he continues on a madcap journey through Eastern Europe's history and his own everyday family life. Vikings, Ivan the Terrible and the "Mr. Hexogen" KGB man meet fatherhood, spies, double agents and everyday banalities - a mixture of surprising facts, absurd leaps of thought and trenchant observations.

The double program is rounded off with "Dann isset halt so". Here, Danziger takes himself and his own insignificance apart with a wink - from personal misadventures to world-historical events that only become funny through their failure.

Stefan Danziger stands for comedy with attitude, historical depth and international flair. His programs combine knowledge and humour in a unique way and show how entertaining history can be when it is told with a clear view of the present and everyday life.
