24 years ago, Nora (Greta Lee) moved away from Korea with her parents at the age of twelve, leaving her childhood friend Hae Sung (Teo Yoo) behind. Twelve years later, the two found each other again via the internet. But it never amounted to more than daily messages and hours of video calls. She didn't want to leave her new home in New York, where she was just taking her first steps as a playwright. His mechanical engineering studies took him to China for a semester abroad rather than the USA. But now Hae Sung is coming to New York for a week, where Nora has already been happily married to Arthur (John Magaro) for seven years.
