Knitting at the movies Intimes: One Monday a month with knitting at the movies. In cooperation with @fhainstrick.

Child prodigy, scandalous author, feminist, fashion lover, communist, linguistic terrorist, enfant terrible, brilliant, vulnerable artist - for the very first time, the story of the life and work of the incomparable Elfriede Jelinek, the first Austrian writer to be awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature, is told in a feature film.

The documentary ELFRIEDE JELINEK - DIE SPRACHE VON DER LEINE LASSEN (ELFRIEDE JELINEK - LEAVING THE LANE) approaches this artist, who only appears unapproachable at first glance, and shows the reclusive author as a person in all her facets with film and sound clips published for the first time, many unknown interview passages and some newly recorded off-screen texts. The result is a multi-layered, associative and sensual film portrait that embraces contradictions and focuses on her creative use of language.
