Ricarda Lang is a politician for Alliance 90/The Greens and has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2021. Together with Omid Nouripour, she was the federal chairwoman of her party for over two years until November 2024. In the summer of 2025, Ricarda Lang completed her Bachelor of Laws at Humboldt University and is now working towards her Master's degree in distance learning.her joint book with Steffen Mau was published in October 2025: "Der große Umbruch. A conversation about crises, conflicts and compromises".

Steffen Mau is a sociologist at Humboldt University Berlin and the author of several non-fiction books. In his research, he deals intensively with the question: Do Germans live in a divided society? In 2021, the professor of macrosociology was awarded the Leibniz Prize of the German Research Foundation, and his books "Ungleich vereint. Why the East remains different" and "Trigger points. Konsens und Konflikt in der Gegenwartsgesellschaft" (together with Thomas Lux and Linus Westheuser).Steffen Mau coined terms such as "polarization entrepreneur" and "change exhaustion".
