In the organizer's words:

Tour of the Spreepark construction site with Heidi Kirk

This tour invites you to discover the Spreepark as an artistic landscape. Inspired by the work of the residency group Memoria, we look at the construction site not as an unfinished place, but as a space full of traces, stories and possible futures. Paths, materials, sounds and remains become parts of an exhibition hidden within the site itself.

Together we move slowly through the place and learn to look more closely. With a simple framework for the view, the participants choose their own sections of this landscape and discover the "secret exhibition" in the existing. The tour combines knowledge about the Spreepark with Memoria's artistic perspective on memory and change - and opens up a new, sensual approach to a place in transition.

Heidi Kirk is part of the Spreepark Art Space welcome team. As a guide, she showed visitors from all over the world around Berlin for eight years. Now she is happy to welcome guests to Spreepark Art Space and answer their questions. Before moving to Berlin, she herself enjoyed the hospitality of many people - be it in France, where she grew up, in New York, where she studied comparative literature, or in Shanghai, where she taught English.
