From the harsh western fjords of Iceland, Icelandic singer/songwriter Svavar Knútur conjures his inner demons and outer storms to reflect the existential crises and exultant joys of modern, yet rustic, men living by the fjord.
Giving voice to the pain and anguish of the long winters, as well as the sleeplessness of the 24-hour summer sun, this versatile musician has blossomed into a cheerful and extraordinary singer and songwriter in recent years. Knútur's songs of misery and redemption provide a healthy dose of hope in the midst of despair.
