Tanzwald

In the organizer's words:

For a young deaf and hearing audience aged 5 and over

In a mysterious forest, the courageous girl Laura sets off on an adventure. At her side is the egg Humpty Dumpty. A wonderful friendship develops as they encounter loss, struggle and a wonderful surprise in the forest. Inspired by the book LauravonBinette Schroeder, the inclusive visual theater piece Tanzwald creates a world in which norms are defied and the wild is celebrated. A colorful, quiet, loud world where everyone is welcome.

Tanzwald is an interactive theater experience that uses stimulating visual language to appeal to deaf and hearing people aged 5 and over. Communication takes place primarily through body language, dance and images created through costume, stage design and shadow play. The result is a fairytale-like universal world that goes beyond the language of words. Even people who do not sign or speak German should be able to understand the play.
