The Brand New Heavies are coming to Hamburg and Berlin in October

The Brand New Heavies' groove has never really stopped since their founding year in 1985. Their 1994 album "Shelter" in particular is nothing less than an all-time classic, with songs such as "You Are The Universe" and "Sometimes" being milestones in their acid jazz sound. Simon Bartholomew and Andrew Levy are now still on board from the original line-up, but even though the singers have changed again and again over the years - N'Dea Davenport, Siedah Garrett and Carleen Anderson were particularly influential - The Brand New Heavies (TBNH) have always managed to provide new impetus with the new voices while keeping their hits alive. In addition, all the singers have returned from time to time. Since 2019, Angela Ricci in particular has established herself in the studio and on tour with her charismatic soul voice. The latter is also what has kept TBNH in the game over the years: Their live shows are still warm grooving parties with a setlist that has become richer and tighter over the decades.

A good two years ago, TBNH released their compilation "Never Stop... The Best of", which reminded many people of what they have and had with this band. The subsequent tour "Never Stop... The Greatest Hits" then reinforced this realization in the best possible way. So it goes without saying that The Brand New Heavies will also be on the road in 2025 - again with Angela Ricci and songs like the ones mentioned above as well as "Midnight At The Oasis", "Have A Good Time", "Never Stop" and of course "You've Got A Friend".
