The Komets

It's almost cheeky how seductive the whispering secrets that The Komets instill in you are. Carrying polyphony, silky instrumentals and an unmistakable flow make the young indie band an irresistible addition to the German music scene. Harmony is in every melancholic layer, wrapping the various sounds like colorful, crackling candy wrappers that hold sweet surprises. Every note is carefully curated and yet there is an inherent lightness to the songs.

Despite their wide-ranging tastes, which span indie, soul, jazz and folk, the friends share a vision that benefits from their connection to one another. They can agree on idiosyncratic role models such as Orla Gartland or boygenius and find inspiration here together. But it is precisely this individual diversity that brings surprising twists and turns to the indie sound. The Komets complement the classic band setting with warmth

In 2021, they received the Regensburg Music Prize and a first radio performance on BR PULS followed. On their EP "Into Bloom" (2022), the arrangements became bigger and the instruments seem to throw the ball back and forth, mixing more in a dynamic coexistence. You can almost hear the laughter that accompanies the four of them between the notes. With the tracks from "Into Bloom", The Komets have also opened for bands such as No Angels or Jeremias in large open-air venues and quickly expanded their fan base here.

The most recently released EP entitled "All These Days" (25.10.2024) was another step forward, as Paulina, Klara, Anna and Jonny grew together once again during the intensive work on it.
