In 1977, in the midst of the violence and despotism of the Brazilian military dictatorship, Marcelo returns from São Paulo to the coastal city of Recife. He has fallen out with a powerful oligarch and tries to organize his escape with an opposition organization - and to see his son again. An extraordinary political thriller that transports the social atmosphere in Brazil during the military dictatorship into the present day.
