A Max von der Grün reading evening

"About people and circumstances" is the motto for the 100th birthday of the writer Max von der Grün, who lived in Dortmund until his death.

His books sold over 4 million copies in Germany alone. His aim was to deal with the social and human problems of the industrial working world.
When asked whether literature can change the world, he replied: "Literature has changed me - and I am part of this world."

Thorsten Trelenberg, Dortmund poet and river poet, will give an insight into the extensive work of this great humanist and political author, whose themes are still relevant today.
