Transport: Frontline

In the organizer's words:

SPECIAL PROGRAM: ABOUT BEING ON THE MOVE

Transport: Frontline draws the audience into the middle of a war zone. The horror of military violence unfolds around a 1:25 miniature world, observed through the lens of a war photographer. Is she just a witness or already part of the conflict? The production refrains from showing specific locations or flags - victims remain anonymous, conflicts remain unlocalized. Voices of war photographers are played while we follow the miniature events - and feel how close war can be.

The production manages to thematize our view of war and our role as observers. It invites us to reflect on empathy, solidarity and moral dilemmas and reminds us that war journalists and photographers are increasingly risking their lives to capture the truth.

The Eesti Noorsooteater is located in the heart of Tallinn's Old Town and is a real crowd-puller with its productions.

Transport Tour:

We offer an extra subscription to the Transport series as well as a shuttle tour on May 15 - two ways to experience all six plays (see program booklet p. 61)
