A land of narratives, on the border between reality and fantasy, which resists official histories and nation-state constructions - the film Until It's Hard To Tell by artist Ceren O ykut unfolds a fictional space of memory, a land that nobody knows, that is not marked on any map and in which language moves freely.

Fragments, holes and scorch marks become beings. His figures carry within them voices from both personal memory and the collective unconscious. They are not localized, fragile and speak with a power born of survival. They resist inner decay by carrying what remains.

The film unfolds as a personal oral archive in a broken universal language that comes from the unknown, belongs to no one and therefore connects: Just as the film resists nation-state constructions, Muslimgauze stands for border expansions and the sound that accompanied both the film's production and the edification of the artists' club Eschschloraque, where Muslimgauze performed twice in the 1990s. Inspired by his seemingly infinite layers of interwoven music, our event will create an experiential space at Eschschloraque as a place of encounter and participation in artistic production. The film screening will be enriched by Ceren Oykut's Live Drawing, dialogic sets between sound and space by resident DJ Sheila Chipperfield and the live performance by KAI Dead Chickens, co-founder of Haus Schwarzenberg and Eschschloraque as well as its builder and co-operator - a creative, idiosyncratic happening in the spirit of the artists' club. This is a language created through film, music and performance that makes live production and living together in the Eschschloraque tangible and also carries what remains and what we want to preserve.

The Muslimgauze Tribute is both an echo of a seemingly endless sound woven into space and time in a night-long, open-concept event and an expression of sustainable artistic production - endless, until it's hard to tell.
