In valeurs refuge, Natacha Donzé transforms the gallery space into a painterly scenery between sacredness and synthetic aesthetics. A place that hovers between intimacy and abstraction, emotion and surface, luminous, calm and slightly artificial. Like a digital afterimage or a synthetic memory that refers to ancient symbolism of love, decay and cyclical life.
Donzé thus creates a place of refuge at the center of which she places the painting Not built, but born - two heads facing each other like lovers in a silent encounter. Their emblematic presence suggests the existence of a portal, a connection beyond time, wrapped in a chromatic world of gold, poisonous yellow and sunset tones - a sacred and consumerist atmosphere. The works move in cyclical sequences between capital and emotion. Between the sacred and the synthetic, the born and the built, the intimate and the institutional. A series of canvases unfolds, referencing architectural facades, fragments of claimed and molded bodies and gestures, sweating structures, touched surfaces and speak of bodies invested in.
