In the early years,Veranda Music from Hamburg quickly made it from their first kebab stall gig to supporting Marianne Faithfull (2002). After five regular albums, some of which are out of print, and a recently released Brazilian EP, the band are now releasing their first best-of album, Lovers.

The ten selected songs sound either like "Tindersticks on E" or "heroin rock and bossa nova", as Christian Buß wrote in SPIEGEL about the fourth album "Secret Scenes": "It's amazing what radiant melodies Veranda Music come up with - and what obscure, chain-rattling rhythms they sometimes dress them up in. Songs like 'Soul Bends' or 'Overwhelming' immediately stick in your head, every single line gets stuck in your brain.

Every song is a new adventure. Great rock music moments, from pumping bass to lascivious guitar licks to the sometimes cheerfully sauntering West Coast piano. And yet each song follows its own unique rock dynamic; jazz is never far away with Veranda Music.

In their most obscure moments, this band, which is not exactly lacking in obscure moments, sounds like a mixture of the Californian libido rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Brazilian bossa bopper Tom Zé. You've never heard anything like it." Or as GRAZIA magazine aptly describes it: "Hooray for melancholy ... just the right soundtrack for a bottle of wine by candlelight".

Veranda Music are Nicolai von Schweder-Schreiner, Lars Precht, Felix Huber and Harm Hinz. Incidentally, the indie folk band from the north last played live in Munich over 20 years ago. A very special and rare opportunity!

The Munich indie band the reload club will be on stageas support. The two bands are not only friends, but also harmonize musically. the reload club create a sound between indie and singer-songwriter: guitar, sax, drums/percussion, bass - the focus: catchy, dynamic acoustic songs, sometimes driving and dirty, sometimes melancholic and spherical.
