How is a museum collection created and what does it reveal about our image of Europe?
As part of a guided tour of one of the depots of the Museum of European Cultures on the Dahlem Research Campus, we will take a look at the creation and development of its collection. We will look at the historical beginnings in the 1930s and selected objects that tell exciting stories of cultural traditions, museum interests and political instrumentalization. A guided tour for anyone who is curious about the background to the museum's work and the diversity of European everyday cultures.
