Vernissage Hybrides

In the organizer's words:

Vernissage of the exhibition Hybrides in the presence of the artist Camille Turrian. Followed by an aperitif and information event on the lecture series for students.

Camille Turrian (*1997) was born in Neuchâtel (Switzerland). She works with natural materials such as ash, graphite, rust and salt, which have already undergone transformation processes. They fascinate her because they bear traces of time - a beauty that she compares to wrinkles or scars. This creates multi-layered landscapes that tell stories.

In a dialog between gesture and material, she moves across the paper in fine, almost dreamlike brushstrokes. The randomness is intentional: the elements react unpredictably and Turrian follows these processes in her painting.
In 2025, she was awarded a Rundgang Prize by the Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences for her artistic work.
