Fotoausstellung: Walk good; be kind – Philipp Czampiel & Maximilian Gödecke

In spring 2024, photographers Philipp Czampiel and Maximilian Gödecke set out to walk the "Hiking Trail of German Unity" - 1,080 kilometers from Aachen to Görlitz, right across the country. Philipp, who grew up in the west, headed east. Maximilian, who grew up in the east, headed west. Two opposing movements that mirror each other, touch and then separate again.

To mark the 35th anniversary of reunification and to conclude the first part of their journey before crossing Germany from north to south, Philipp Czampiel and Maximilian Gödecke are showing a selection of their photographs at the AFF Galerie e.V. in Friedrichshain.

At the center of this exhibition are photographic positions on the social mood around the change in the country, which tell of encounters on the roadside, of mistrust in glances and of the trust that appeared behind foreign doors.

At the heart of this exhibition are photographic perspectives on the atmosphere that is surrounding change in this country, telling stories of encounters on the roadside, mistrust in people's eyes, and the trust that revealed itself behind strangers' doors.
