Winner of the German Film Award
Traude Krüger has been giving piano lessons in a women's prison in Mannheim for 60 years. In all these years, however, she has never had a pupil as talented as the drug-addicted 20-year-old Jenny. Together, the teacher and the withdrawn and violent pupil prepare for the "Jugend musiziert" music competition, in which Jenny has four minutes to express everything that makes up her personality through sound.
