On the action weekend of the Germany-wide initiative DENK MAL AM ORT on May 2 and 3, 2026, people who were persecuted or murdered during the Nazi era will be remembered.

The event at the ZI will commemorate the Pringsheim family, whose house was located at Arcisstraße 12, the current location of the ZI, until 1933.

The Pringsheim family's palace was a meeting place for Munich society. In 1933, the NSDAP put Alfred and Hedwig Pringsheim under pressure to sell it. The background to this was the persecution of the Jewish population and the planned transformation of Königsplatz into a party quarter. After further forced removals, the Pringsheims emigrated to Switzerland in 1939
