Hair is an expression of identity, power and belonging - also in the digital space. But who decides which images of body and gender become visible? Social media and AI systems shape our perception more than we realize. The lecture will show how algorithmic processes reinforce, distort or normalize stereotypical role models - and how these digital power structures can be recognized and critically questioned.

Alina Gales holds a doctorate in cultural studies. She heads the Diversity & Inclusion staff unit at the Technical University of Munich and is a speaker on the social impact of artificial intelligence.
