Diene Sagna grew up with the rhythms and dances of his homeland, Senegal.
🌍He has been teaching people all over the world for many years - with heart, dedication, a huge amount of patience and a deep connection to music and culture.

He has now been in Germany for over 5 years, giving us the unique opportunity to immerse ourselves in the powerful world 🔥 of West African dances.
Including Djembe, Sabar and many more, always accompanied by authentic LIVE drum music!

His movements are characterized by many years of practice and embodiment. You can tell there is a kind of basic trust in him. It spreads a feeling of deep security and grounding in the room. From this stable foundation, something new can always unfold in class - intuitive, lively, dynamic.

His presence is palpable and invites you to be fully present.
His laughter lights up the whole room, this energy is ✨magical✨, it is contagious. You can't help but want to move.

Yes, even if you are sometimes tired from the day - the drums wake you up and carry you across the dance floor.

🌀You feel the impulse in your body and suddenly there is strength, vitality and clarity again.
And you ask yourself, wasn't that 90 minutes?

This is no ordinary dance class but a unique experience! You have to experience it for yourself to understand this feeling.

❗Just so you know: it's not free dancing, but a guided class. We follow the steps and movements of the West African dances, which are guided and explained by Diene.

In the beginning, these rhythms may feel a little strange or challenging. But with time it becomes easier. For example, certain basic steps are repeated and it is easier to "flow" with them.
It's also incredibly rewarding when you feel at home with the movements and automatically start to develop your own style.

▪️Willkommen 🤗 is open to people of all ages, backgrounds and experience. Previous dance experience can be helpful, but is NOT necessary.

▪️Bring bring enough water 💧, comfortable clothes and possibly a towel. We prefer to dance barefoot👣.
