Workshop: Malerischer Ausdruck innerer Erfahrungen. Biografischer Workshop

In the organizer's words:

The workshop will be jointly led by the artist Erika Möwius (Berlin) and the President of the Frauenverband im BdV e. V., Ms. Hiltrud Leber (Rohrbach/Bavaria).

In her artistic work, Ms. Möwius addressed the fate of her grandparents in the Banat. The Women's Association in the Federation of Expellees e.V. works with a special focus on remembrance, integration and understanding. This also includes supporting people in coming to terms with their experiences of flight and expulsion and showing them ways of dealing with transgenerational trauma.

This workshop invites participants to engage artistically with their own experiences and memories as well as the experiences passed on by their families. The artistic process makes it possible to give space to feelings and find expression for the unspoken. Artistic work mobilizes unexpected personal strengths. It is a conceivable way of respectfully accepting the experiences as part of one's own biography and destiny.
