WORLD NEWS Tour 2026

For the first time in Cologne!

With an eclectic mix of influences from the 70s and 80s that draws equally on post-punk, indie rock and shoegaze, World News combine addictive atmospheric guitar riffs with seductive, nonchalant melodies. With their atmospheric, powerful and nostalgic music, they have been compared to British cult bands such as The Smiths, The Clash and Dire Straits. They openly flaunt the past while remaining completely original and yet strangely familiar.

In 2024, the band's upward trajectory continued with the release of two standout EPs, Escape and Mindsnap, their debut US performance at New Colossus Festival in New York City, and inclusion on Stereogum's list of the 40 best new artists of 2024 and The Fader's list of 13 artists to keep an eye on in 2025. Their 2025 contributions include the singles 'Don't Want to Know' and 'Everything Is Coming Up Roses', which set the tone for their 2026 debut album, as well as a string of summer festival dates and continued sold-out shows across the UK.
