YGGDRASIL is the main production of our ANUVERSUM OPEN AIRS.
Whether Lord of the Rings or Netflix series such as Vikings or Ragnarök - they all draw on one of the most incredible storybooks in the world: the Edda. And there is a good reason for this: the Norse sagas are rich in imagery and language, their characters Odin, Thor and Loki are the playmakers in a story from the creation of the world to its downfall, told from the perspective of the seers, the Norns, who hold the threads of fate in their hands.
What happens when they break? When the Norns let them go? When the balance of the world of the gods is immediately disturbed? The connection to the mythical world no longer exists?
The division of the worlds into gods, giants, humans, dwarves, elves and animals becomes mixed up? Wit, heroism and adventure meet dystopia and apocalypse.
Bärbel Aschenberg, Johanna Malchow, Kathleen Rappolt and cellist Nikolaus Herdieckerhoff create a unique evening of stories based on the fantastic legends of the North.
