Miriam Blaylock collects Renaissance art, antique Egyptian jewelry pendants, lovers and souls. Miriam, beautiful and elegant, is an ageless vampire. Her otherworldly beauty hides the fact that she is cursed to live with the bloodlust. She and her sophisticated husband John are inseparable - in love, in life, in their greed. But when John suddenly ages alarmingly quickly and consults a researcher, Miriam soon sets her sights on the woman - she is to replace John.
