In addition to its location on Pariser Platz, the Akademie der Künste also occupies its exhibition and event venue in the Hansaviertel. There, the building on Hanseatenweg, erected in 1960 according to plans by Werner Düttmann, is located. The building with its wide foyers, halls, garden courtyards and club rooms was renovated in 2011. With around 2,000 square meters of exhibition space, a studio with a stage for 700 guests, as well as artists' studios and apartments, the building on the edge of the Tiergarten offers an ideal location for artistic productions such as exhibitions, performances, events, conferences and workshops. In addition to the locations at Pariser Platz and Hanseatenweg, the Academy also includes the archive locations at Robert-Koch-Platz and Luisenstraße, as well as the Brecht-Weigel Memorial and the Anna Seghers Memorial. Opening hours Mon to Sun from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (as well as until the end of events) Exhibitions in the halls Tues to Sun from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Free admission to the exhibitions.
