Why is the mole called that? Because well-chilled drinks come out of the underground of the beer cellar? Or because you can throw delicious food into its mouth? Or because the mole is such a nice animal? We will probably never know for sure.

In any case, it is clear that the Mole is an institution. And since 2007 it has shone in new splendor as the Maulwurf pub and bar. There is room for everyone here: young and old, Vaihingen locals and out-of-towners, students and professors, old moles and newcomers - in other words, everyone who enjoys pub culture.

Soccer is a matter close to our hearts, which is why we broadcast all VfB matches. But that still leaves room for literary readings, live music, exhibitions and whisky tastings.

Our selection of regional and international beer specialties from the bottle and on tap is impressive, and our fine whisky selection offers something for connoisseurs and beginners alike. Juices and selected refreshments from near and far are available here, as well as good wines and coffees.

The menu is not huge, but what it says tastes good and what we do, we do right.
