The Peißnitzhaus e.V. and the Peißnitzhaus Förderkreis gem. eG are renovating and operating the Peißnitzhaus. The house will be home to an integrative restaurant with overnight accommodation, a play and adventure world for young and old as well as children's and family projects. Much of what will enliven the house in the future has already been successfully implemented by the association in the surrounding area. In summer, for example, up to 1000 guests a day visit the garden restaurant. There are project days with schools, nurseries and daycare centers on the topics of ESD and the environment and over 100 cultural events a year. We at Kulturprojekt am Peißnitzhaus work socioculturally. Diversity is very important to us. We have events for young and old. From puppet theater and children's song summer to series of events with young collectives (miwo.phause) and big band afternoons. Our events are currently all taking place outside, as the building is still being renovated. Do you love culture in the open air? Then you've come to the right place! Our cultural group at the Peißnitzhaus consists of two full-time employees and dedicated volunteers - together we organize a varied and lively programme for young and old from April to October.

Whether it's Sunday puppet theater, children's concerts, open-air festivals or our concert series Kinderliedersommer with Toni Geiling - we have something for everyone. A special highlight is the Peißnitzhaus Summer Festival, which brings concerts, DJs, workshops and more to the island for a whole weekend together with ten Halle collectives. Many of our events take place in cooperation with local actors - this creates a varied, open and participatory cultural offering every year.

Culture for everyone! We believe that culture should be accessible to everyone. That's why many of our events are free of charge, and when we do charge admission, we deliberately keep the prices low. Everyone should feel at home with us - without barriers. Join in! You don't just want to watch, you want to help shape things yourself? No problem! We are always happy to welcome new faces. Whether young or old, with previous experience or completely new: if you would like to become part of our cultural team or realize your own ideas, you are very welcome. You can also do a federal voluntary service with us - especially in the area of event technology and implementation.
