At the Peißnitzhaus in Halle (Saale), Saalejazz 2026 invites you to a varied jazz afternoon and evening in the open air. The Waldbühne will be a meeting place for different types of jazz - from classic swing and groove jazz to gypsy swing and chanson.
Dean Marc will kick things off from 14:00 to 15:00. The singer, whose style is reminiscent of Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra of the 1950s, will take the audience on a musical journey through time. With melancholy swing numbers and a charming crooner sound, he brings the carefree atmosphere of past decades to life.
From 16:00 to 17:00, the band Stadtrundfahrt follows with groove jazz from the 1980s to the early 2000s. Inspired by artists such as Larry Goldings and John Scofield, guitar, Rhodes, bass and drums combine relaxed jazz with rhythmic drive - restrained tapping along is expressly encouraged.
The final act from 18:00 to 19:00 is the Trio Nuages from Dresden. With gypsy swing, jazz manouche and chanson, Juliane Liebing (vocals, violin), Mathias Jehling (double bass) and Joachim Bade (guitar) tell musical stories that invite you to dance, dream and float away. Saalejazz 2026 combines top-class live music with a summery atmosphere and once again makes the Peißnitzhaus a special place for jazz lovers.
