35 years of the TAO Choir - music for love - love for music

The TAO Choir has been singing and making music in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area for 35 years.

From a handful of founding members who founded the choir in 1991 above the TAO bookshop, the choir has now grown to almost 80 singers and is celebrating its existence and love of music with an anniversary program. Two concerts will take place on 10.05.2026 in the Christuskirche - one concert at 16.00 and one at 18.00.

Free admission - we ask for donations for Doctors Without Borders.

As the seats in the Christuskirche are limited, we organize ourselves and the allocation of seats via tickets and registration.
Tickets are available from the singers of the TAO choir. Alternatively, you can register via kartenbestellung@tao-chor.de.

The program consists of songs from different eras on the theme of love - a capella and with piano. It will be a colorful mixture of new works, evergreens and reviews of the TAO choir's many different concerts.
Songs about love and the love of music by Orlando di Lasso, Giovanni Gastoldi, Maurice Duruflé, Francis Poulenc, Clara Schumann, Robert Schumann, Benjamin Britten, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Paul Abraham, Morten Lauridsen, John Hoybye, Leonard Bernstein...and ABBA.
