7. Rainforest Run Freiburg

In the organizer's words:

"Run to save the rainforest": That is the motto of the Rainforest Run Freiburg. The charity run for the preservation of the rainforest takes you over four different distances through the Wiehre. From the 1 km lap for the youngest (from 8 years), to short and medium distances (2.6 and 5.2 km) and the long distance (7.8 km) for the older runners: There is something for everyone!

Local initiatives will also be providing information about climate and environmental protection on the forecourt of the Alte Wiehrebahnhof. Food and drink will be provided with tarte flambée, coffee and ice cream; live bands will ensure a lively atmosphere along the route.

Your entry fees will be donated to a project run by the Bruno Manser Fund charity. Together with the local population, it runs tree nurseries on the island of Borneo. With your run, you contribute to the reforestation of deforested rainforest areas.

You can register for a personalized race number until 19 May. Late registrations are possible until June 14. If you are not in Freiburg but would still like to run, you can take part from anywhere in the world using the "favorite route" option.
