AGATHA IS DEAD!

Formed in the lockdown winter of 2021, Agatha Is Dead! began as a post-punk experiment by longtime friends Lilly and Noah, who had been making music together since their school days. Their shared love of Joy Division, The Cure, Molchat Doma and Fontaines D.C. laid the foundations for their dark and urgent sound. With the addition of drummer Joey Ramone Hansen - who gave the sound a grunge and pop-punk edge - and Arthur on bass, the band played their first shows in 2022 and quickly established themselves in the Berlin underground scene. In May 2025, the band signed to Berlin label Duchess Box Records and released their debut EP "Order" on October 10. The first singles attracted attention from major online magazines such as Post-Punk.com and Diffus as well as airplay on well-known radio stations and strong playlist support from Spotify and Apple Music. In September 2025, the band embarked on their first headlining tour with shows in Berlin, Vienna and Leipzig, all of which were sold out in advance and marked a new chapter in their career. Their Berlin 2026 concert at the Lido sold out an incredible three months in advance, underlining the growing buzz surrounding the band. With further influences from The Pretty Reckless, DIIV, Liily and Bloc Party, Agatha Is Dead! have honed a sound that is at once heavy, hypnotic and deeply emotional. With their debut EP "Order", they set a clear marker in the next wave of alternative rock - capturing hearts, shaking stages and refusing to be overlooked.
