Amenra's journey to the highest peaks of post-metal fame is steadily progressing. The band's unique musical style, characterized by a dark seething atmosphere, despair and spiritual intensity, is rooted in doom metal, hardcore punk and post-rock, but also bows to the greats of US folk music such as Townes Van Zandt.

At their live shows, Amenra work with cinematic projections created by filmmakers as an indispensable part of their performances, which, together with the band's incredibly dense sound, make for a physically and aesthetically uplifting experience.
