ANYMOS KI:NO Sommer | Transcendence

As part of this year's ANYMOS KI:NO Summer, we cordially invite you to watch "Transcendence" together at the Kinemathek on May 7 at 7 pm. The film presents a vision of the future in which the possibilities of artificial intelligence seem as fascinating as they are unsettling.

In "Transcendence", we follow a leading AI researcher whose consciousness is transferred to a computer system after an attack. What initially appears to be a scientific breakthrough increasingly develops into a threatening dynamic in which the boundaries between man, machine and power become increasingly blurred.

A science fiction film with an exciting story that raises key questions about identity, technological progress and the consequences of unbounded AI. Afterwards, we will discuss how this vision of the future can be applied to our society today.

Admission to the Kinemathek is free of charge and the principle of first come, first serve applies. Admission is at 18:30.

The KI:NO Sommer is organized as part of the ANYMOS project by TRIANGEL Transfer | Kultur | Raum in collaboration with the Kinemathek Karlsruhe and the AFK. ANYMOS is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and financed by the European Union, NextGenerationEU.
