Vera Zischke was born in the Rhineland in 1980 and is a trained journalist. She writes for the newspaper by day and novels by night and describes this as happiness. She claims that everything in her stories is true, only the characters are invented. Her debut novel Ava liebt noch was recommended thousands of times on social media and became a secret bestseller. On Instagram, she writes under @verazischke about her life as a 'Tired Writing Mom', sometimes also about caring parenthood. Vera Zischke is the mother of an autistic child and lives with her family in the Ruhr area.
