Bōki literally means "forgetting everyday matters". This is possible at the Museum of Asian Art. In the Bōki-an tea house specially designed for the Humboldt Forum, the Chadō Urasenke Teeweg-Verein Berlin provides insights into traditional tea gatherings. The culture of the tea trail can be experienced in front of outstanding works of painting, graphic art, ceramics and lacquerware.

13:00: Preparation of usucha - whipped, light tea.

15:00: Preparation of Koicha - stirred, strong tea.

- You can watch the tea gathering during your tour of the exhibition at the Museum of Asian Art. The tea house itself cannot be entered.

- The tea gathering is free of charge. A ticket is required for the permanent exhibitions of the Ethnological Collection and the Museum of Asian Art: EUR 14.00/reduced EUR 7.00
