Chantal Acda – The Whale

We are looking forward to a reunion with this special song poet, who - regardless of the line-up and timbre - always captivates and touches us with her deeply connected intimacy, her gentle, luminous presence, her authentic, moving songs in all their serious fragility and vulnerability. For her latest album The Whale, Chantal has for the first time incorporated the sensitivity and intuition of her long-time band members - Eric Thielemans, Alan Gevaert, Gaëtan Vandewoude and Niels Van Heertum - into her songwriting and production, which for her felt as if they had written a book together. The Whale is definitely a new chapter in their artistic oeuvre, a truly collaborative work with a somewhat rougher, more expansive and poppier sound.
The intimacy and tender emotionality of the Belgian-Dutch singer-songwriter still shines through at the center. On this evening, Chantal, accompanied by multi-instrumentalist Gaëtan Vandewoude, will let us glide into the waves of her new songs.
