Comicvorstellung und Workshop: Im Jugendarrest von Patricia Thoma

In the organizer's words:

On April 27, Patricia Thoma is coming to the Schiller Library for the presentation of her comic "Im Jugendarrest" and an accompanying comic workshop.

Illustrator Patricia Thoma spent over a year behind high-security bars and walls, drawing with imprisoned young people. The resulting picture story gives a harrowing insight into the vicious circle of domestic violence, dropping out of school, addiction and crime - and ends in a roaring party with soft drinks and potato chips from the snack machine.

After a book presentation , the young people draw themselves and record in a speech bubble what measures are needed to support children and young people in difficult life situations and protect them from slipping into criminal structures. At the end, all the drawings are presented and bound into a book.

From 7th grade, participation free of charge
