What remains when there is nothing left? Where will humanity save itself? These are the questions posed by Icelandic poet Steinunn Sigurðardóttirs in her poetry collection "Nachdämmern". With the melting glaciers of her homeland in mind. Actress Gabriele Brüning and dancer Katrin Banse have been inspired by Sigurðardóttirs' melancholic, powerful and dramatically topical poetry, among other things, for their new evening THE END OF ETERNITY. A reflection on the ecological catastrophe of the present - and questions beyond the biosphere. The dwindling ice masses stand for decay, transformation and our finiteness. But they are also a symbol of political inaction. They call on us to rethink the relationship between humans, nature and society. Speaking, singing and dancing, Brüning and Banse bring haunting literature to life.
