In the organizer's words:

Headlining tour in December

Supports: Northlane and Siamese

Having recently toured all over Europe as support for Motionless In White, Dayseeker will be returning to Germany as headliners shortly before the end of the year. The California metalcore high-flyers have announced four shows in December to present their latest album "Creature In The Black Night" live. They will be bringing Northlane and Siamese to Oberhausen, Hanover, Berlin and Munich as special guests. Even if the "sad rock" category used by frontman Rory Rodriguez himself sounds nice and crisp, the term doesn't really do justice to Dayseeker 's sound: since their beginnings as a post-hardcore group in Southern California, his band has continuously moved between the poles of alternative and metal. Sometimes it was more about melodies and melancholy, sometimes about really hard-hitting riffs and wild emo/screamo interludes. With their latest album "Creature In The Black Night", they recently made a rather heavier statement again, which went straight to number 1 in the Alternative Albums Charts in the USA. At the same time, the streaming hit "Pale Moonlight" dominated the top 10 rock playlists for weeks. Shortly after their formation in 2012, Dayseeker from Orange County were able to bag their first record deal - laying the foundation for their metalcore debut album "What It Means To Be Defeated" (2013). With "Origin" in their luggage, the Californians traveled to Europe for the first time shortly afterwards, where they have been regular guests ever since. Albums such as "Dreaming Is Sinking//Waking Is Rising" (2017) and "Sleeptalk" (2019) also saw their fan base grow rapidly in this country. After bringing pop and alternative elements into play for their predecessor "Dark Sun", Rory Rodriguez & Co. hit harder notes again on the current "Creature In The Black Night" LP. Recorded with guitarist Gino Sgambelluri, who left the group shortly afterwards, fans and critics celebrated the sixth longplayer as the band's most intense and haunting work.

Rory Rodriguez 's falsetto vocals, which at times almost flirt with R&B, once again set the tone. Singles such as "Pale Moonlight" or the title track stand for maximum contrasts between epic parts and heavy breakdowns. Overall, the album has a "horror-inspired vibe", commented the singer, who wants the lyrics of tracks such as "Crawl Back To My Coffin" or "Meet The Reaper" to be understood more metaphorically. "Everyone thought we would become quieter and more commercial, but the opposite has happened: We focus more on heavy riffs - and I scream more often. It feels good. Just honest." Metalcore sounds from Down Under(Northlane) can also be heard in Dayseeker 's supporting program on the four December dates, and the band Siamese from Copenhagen, with whom Rory Rodriguez has already been in the studio, will also be there.
