This intense chamber play based on a story by Franz Kafka takes its audience into the depths of space - and the mind. In this subterranean world, happiness and paranoia are closely intertwined. A kind of human animal exists here, a Kafkaesque, thinking animal. The creature lives in a mental crusade, in a perpetual state of emergency, directed against the outside world, against possible intruders. "The Burrow" is a parable about a society that constantly creates risks by trying to prevent them. As in all of Kafka's stories, the consequences of their actions and thoughts drive the creatures, animals, people and men relentlessly before them, mostly abandoned by any sense of reality. An experience, as Max Simonischek portrays it.
