A comedic evening based on Patrick Süskind

The Frauenzimmertheater is delighted to finally be able to present Christian Geschke's Double Bassist on our small stage.

A play about a double bass player who is eternally dissatisfied, works as a civil servant as an orchestra musician and remains trapped in his love-hate relationship with his instrument.
A monologue about his lonely life, the hierarchy in the orchestra and his unrequited love for the young and beautiful soprano, who would rather go to fish restaurants with a technical director than take a look at this desperate double bass player.

"They can't carry a double bass, they have to lug it around and he only gets into the car if you remove the right front seat and when they want to be alone with a woman, he stands there and watches ... He makes the act ridiculous."

Played by the "eternal" double bass player Christian Geschke.
