Dialogrundgang mit Denijen Pauljević: Eine Sprache finden

In the exhibition ...so that the sound of war subsides, its roar, international artists deal with the long after-effects of wars since 1945. From the perspective of migration, from or to Europe, they tell of loss, flight and new beginnings. And they report on the challenge of moving on. How do experiences of war shape the lives of future generations in pluralistic, (post-)migrant societies? What remains - and what is passed on?

Together with the author Denijen Pauljević, we will walk through the exhibition and discuss selected works of art. Denijen Pauljević shares his perspective against the backdrop of his own experiences of leaving and arriving, both in a new country and in a new language. This arrival in the language was and is an ongoing process for him, which continues to shape his presence in society, within his family and in his own artistic work to this day. We will talk together about the experience of flight, turning points and life in constant change.

Denijen Pauljević, born in Belgrade, is an author, theater maker, curator, performer and translator who combines multilingual narrative forms with documentary and autofictional approaches. He works on various theater, screenplay and literary projects and heads the cultural program at Bellevue di Monaco.
