Die Höchste Eisenbahn (DE)

When four Berlin friends make music together, something is created that is instantly recognizable - and never forgotten. Die Höchste Eisenbahn is back. And it sounds in 2026 just as people in 1925 imagined the year 1999: like skyscrapers, flying steam carriages and a future that seems both dazzling and strangely familiar.

Six years have passed since the last joint chapter. A long time - at least from the fans' point of view. From the band's point of view, it flew by: a pandemic put everything on pause, along with solo projects, new paths and other stages. Max Schröder released music with his friend Olli Schulz, Francesco Wilking dedicated himself to the Crucchi Gang, Moritz Krämer was on the road with Sad Lobsters and Cowardly Beauty. And Felix Weigt swapped the stage for a podcast microphone - determined to perhaps even give up music altogether.

But some trains just keep on rolling. And when they roll back in, they do so with open doors.

Anyone who has ever experienced a concert by this band knows: it only takes half a song, one of these wonderfully quirky, clever, tender lines - and you immediately remember why you love this band so much. Die Höchste Eisenbahn have mastered the art of making melancholy and lightness happen at the same time. Their songs tell of longing and everyday adventures, of great feelings in the late-night light, of beauty in the approximate.

They have finally been on stage together again since 2025. And the reunion is more than just a revival: it is a new beginning. And yes, there was that word in the room: new music. It still sounds like a promise, still like a whisper between two chords. But anyone who knows the band knows that they like to unleash their best surprises at the right moment.

For Die Höchste Eisenbahn, 2025 was "more exciting than kissing". And in the Kulturzelt Kassel, this comparison turns into an evening full of euphoria, poetry and the unshakeable feeling that pop music can be smarter, warmer and more beautiful than you ever expected. A reunion that feels like coming home - only with a view to the future.

The concert is unseated. (But there are seats in the stands for early birds)
