In the organizer's words:

OH! A NAS! Nas what? Nas Horn. Nas where? Nas Oh! A WHAT?! A Nas! Nas what? NASHORN! In the middle of the market square, in broad daylight. Unbelievable! Everyone agrees. Everyone except Behringer: It's a rhinoceros, so what? But as time goes by, more and more rhinos appear. Fear and uncertainty grow with them: Is the report about the rhinos false information? Who really saw them? Has the press made a rhino out of a molehill? And are the trusting pachyderms really as cruel as they are thought to be? Fascinated by their power and simplicity, Behringer's fellow human beings gradually turn into rhinos themselves. The initial resentment about the growing number of rhinos gives way to all-encompassing hype. There are many good reasons to become a rhino - and perhaps one could get a little closer to the animals if one first learns to put oneself in their mindset.

The individualist Behringer faces a mass that has perfected its conformity. The more optimized the dissemination of preconceived opinions becomes, the more Behringer defies the merging masses and persists in his resistance: he will remain human, whatever the cost! Anna Marboe chases the means of theater through tempting mainstream machinery and pulls out all the stops of absurd theater for the question of manipulation and seduction by groups. In a time when everything is falling apart at the seams, it's simply a good feeling to be one of the good guys.
